Hi! We're Kevin & Keith, BabyGanics founding-fathers — compulsive, clean-freaks but also family guys! We read other ‘green’ labels and think “Whoa. That’s harsh!” Safe for the planet should include people, right? So, we make products that clean like crazy and are safe around babies: earth safe, people safe and picky mother-in-law safe. (Did we mention they really work?) |

Spring Has Sprung
Avocados are in Season

Avocados are in season in California this time of year and this delicious fruit makes a great addition to your family's diet. Avocados have many health benefits including promoting eye health, lowering cholesterol, promoting heart health and are jam-packed with vitamin E. Try incorporating avocados into your diet by adding it to sandwiches, spreading it on toast, using it in quesadillas, or try this protein packed dip:
Avocado Hummus Dip
- Chickpeas, drained and rinsed - 1/2 can
- Avocados - 2 small
- Tahini paste - 1 tablespoon
- Lemon juice - 2-3 tablespoons
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Water - enough to thin the dip to the desired consistency (3-5 tablespoons)
- Sea Salt
- Process all the ingredients except for the water in a food processor or blender until smooth
- Add some water to thin out the dip to the desired consistency.
- Season to taste.
Spring Cleaning

Spring cleaning: a dreaded time in my childhood. It meant cleaning the basement, my closet, the flowerbeds, the garage and any other neglected part of our house. How can you get your kids to help with the Spring cleaning without whines and "injuries"? There is always the money incentive, a few dollars here or there for a helping hand. Also, jobs that involve water like washing the dog, porch cushions or mopping are always much more fun. The kids can get in their bathing suits and get messy while they clean! Don't forget to donate, repurpose or recycle the items in your home you won't use again.
Family Trip to the National Parks

Sping time is a great time to take the family to the National Parks. Flowers are in bloom, the animals have started new families, waterfalls are flowing and the weather is still mild. California is packed with nearby parks that are a short drive with great camping or lodging options. The Inyo National Forest is just 4 hours away by car and is home to Mt. Whitney and Mammoth. A little further away is Yosemite with giant waterfalls and hiking for all ages.
