CRAFTS
Get festive by creating some Chinese New Year crafts with your kids. Create a rabbit, a lantern or more with these easy instructions.
Rabbit

What you need:
- An old CD or Paper Plate
- Markers
- A sheet of plain paper or construction paper
- Toothpicks
- Glue
How to make it:
Cut the paper into ear shapes and teeth. Color in the ears. Adhere the ears and teeth to the CD or plate with glue. Draw in eyes and glue the toothpicks on as whiskers. Add bowties and any other accessories to your rabbit!
Paper Lantern

What you need:
- Plain or colored paper
- Stapler
- Scissors
- Ruler
How to make it:
Cut a stip of paper about an inch thick from the bottom of your square paper to use as the handle. Fold your paper in half and begin cutting strips from the folded side to about a quarter inch from the end. Each cut should be about an inch apart. Unfold the paper and roll it to touch the paper ends so that your cuts are now vertical. Staple your lantern together. Add the handle by arching it over the top of the lantern and staple it. Now decorate the lantern as desired.
