Keeping Up with a Hungry Baby
Pack Snacks
Pregnancy can bring on starvation-like hunger even just an hour after a full meal. Be sure to pack healthy snacks to avoid quick trips through fast-food or the convenient store where you won't get the most bang for your buck in the nutrient department. A bag of almonds or trailmix, an apple, string cheese, carrots, ants on a log (celery sticks with almond butter and raisins) all pack necessary nutrients for the growing kiddo and are easy for the momma on the go.
Bring Water with you EVERYWHERE
Be prepared with a glass of water on the nightstand for the middle-of-the-night-sahara-desert-thirst! Also, tote along a reusable water bottle filled with filtered water when you head out. Pregnant mothers need extra water intake to help transport vital nutrients to the baby, increase their blood volume and prevent constipation and hemorrhoids.
